Saturday was a planned day off snow, which turned out to be a great call. It was windy and snowy/rainy day which made for a great lazy one, watching movies and just generally relaxing around the house.
Sunday we headed to the Northstar to check out the conditions. The snow was pretty good after a dusting the night before. We spent the morning cruising around what was open and the afternoon checking out the park. For limited snow, the coverage was pretty good and the park was great!
Monday we headed out early to Kirkwood but just outside the gates we were turned around by the cops because of a big accident. We hedged our bets on the ‘at minimum 1.5 hours’ wait and headed back to Heavenly. Heavenly had more open and was great bluebird conditions in the morning, the afternoon was dogged with a few icy patches (and the girls getting lost). On return home we built an epic fire in the pit.
Next stop Kirkwood.
